Looking for a career where you can truly make a difference? Conifer Park is seeking an energetic and driven Assistant Clinical Director to help manage our combined Outpatient Chemical Dependence Clinic and Opioid Treatment Program in Schenectady, NY.
The Assistant Clinical Director oversees site and program operations, establishing goals and objectives for the clinic, implementing, establishing and monitoring all budget expenses and financial goals, and monitoring and revising these goals and objectives as necessary. Responsibilities include establishing necessary policies and procedures for the function of the outpatient clinic, ensuring that the policies and procedures meet the requirements of JCAHO and OASAS, and all managed care and related payor organizations as well as ensuring that staffing patterns are appropriate for all programs. In addition, the director establishes and monitors systems to ensure that the clinic completes and complies with all requirements of insurance carriers regarding authorization of care, utilization management and payment approval.
The Assistant Clinical Director carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. In addition, they will work as a liaison between patient, patient's family, referents and inpatient staff dedicated to ensure clear communication, including educating individuals and groups about the disease of chemical dependency and about the types of treatment available. The Assistant Clinical Director interacts with counselors, medical staff, program directors of EAP or alcoholism and drug programs as well as assists in diagnosis and referral process of dual diagnosis or multi-problem persons.
- Bachelor's Required/Master's Preferred
- QHP license/certification, such as a CASAC, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW
- Minimum of 3 years clinical work experience in the chemical dependence field
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
- Experience working with Methadone
- Experience in an 822 clinic
- CPR certification within six months of hire
